The evening was just right for stargazing! The clear sky encouraged many visitors to our event and they were able to see so much in the night sky. There was an added bonus of several planets being aligned so the telescopes were a very popular aspect of the event. Many thanks to Derby and District Astronomical Society who had queues of people all evening wanting to see the heavens through the telescopes. We also had a splendid display of model boats put on by the Alvaston Pirates Model Boat Club and were again joined by Ian Russell with his gigantic bubbles.
